My magazine,Spark, will be about inspiring creativity in women. It will be targeted to women 35-45 who may be in a transitional stage of life with their children getting older and seeking out something for themselves.It will serve as a tool for inspiration with lots of visuals in the hope of "sparking" her creative self. Sort of a reaction against the "martha stewart" type of color by number projects or scrapbooking.I would like it to have a fun and somewhat irreverent tone, rather than a more serious feeling that one might expect.

The magazine will be mostly inspirational with features on artists, musicians, writers, scientists etc along with inspiring artwork. In addition there will be articles about the creative process itself. The focus of course will be on the achievements of women creators, although not exclusively.

It will be targeted toward suburban/urban women with an income of $50,000 or more with at least some college education.
